The different types of mills
that Micronisers Toll has invested in over the past twenty years
has been due to the vast
array of products types that our customers
have requested. Not only this, but also the varying desired particle
sizes that are required. This is another example of how beneficial
Micronisers Toll can be to a company wanting more than one type
of product milled.
This table summarises
the various size reduction grades that are within the capabilities
of Micronisers Toll. The degree of size reduction will depend
on many variables, some of which include;
- the hardness of the product
- the
abrasiveness of the product
- the moisture content of the product
- the type of mill used

Testing Equipment
Our dedicated research and develpment / testing
laboratory is equiped with the best particle size analysers available.
Due to the wide range of particle sizes that we achieve and the
strict
QC
and
QA we
manufacture under, Micornisers Toll invested a significant
funds in purchasing
two state of the art
particle
analysers. These instruments are not only used for in-house
testing but are also available to our customers for their testing.
Accusizer model 780 A
This instrument's method of measurement is based
on single-particle optical sensing, also called optical particle
counting. Particles
in a liquid
suspension flow through a small "photozone" - a narrow
region of uniform illumination, that is produced by light from
a laser diode. The passage of the particles through
the
sensing zone causes a detected pulse, the magnitude of which depends
on the mean diameter of the particle. The physical principal
of detection is thus referred to as light scattering or obscuration.
This instrument measures particles in the range of 0.5 to 500 micron.
Nicomp Model 380
This instrument's method
of measurement is based on dynamic light scattering. A cuvette
with the substance, dispersed in a liquid, is illuminated with
a laser light. The instrument measures the intensity of
the scattered light and calculates the particle size. This instrument
measures particles from 10 to 1000 nm.

Medicines Authority for the manufacture of agricultural
and veterinary chemical products (license Number: 6011)

which are consistent with GMP & ISO 9002.

Packaging
Micronisers Toll has the ability
to receive supplies in containers ranging from 1kg, 25kg, 200kg
through to 1 tonne bulky bins. Our manufacturing site has full access for a
B-double semi trailer.
All materials
can be repacked according to customers' specific requirements.
After milling a number of options are available.
- Products can
be returned in the same containers, complete with individual
labelling
if
required.
- Products can be enclosed in plastic bags and
packed into boxes supplied by the customer, or
- Products can be packed into boxes supplied by Micronisers Toll.
